Frontline Phonics is the premiere reading education program for children ages 3-8.
This easy-to-use program has been refined and tested during 17 years of classroom
application. Tens of thousands of children have used Frontline Phonics to successfully
enter their reading years ahead of their peers. Now available to parents as well as
schools, Frontline Phonics is a fun, effective way to get the right start in education.
History
Frontline Educational Products is dedicated to the
ideal that literacy is attainable for every child.
We believe that children learn best when given the
kind of individual attention that parents provide.
Our comprehensive reading materials provide parents
with exactly what they need to help their beginning
readers.
Our products are the result of a long-term (and
ongoing) study of children learning to read. Over
the years this program has been refined and improved
through classroom research using a variety of teachers
and student populations. In test classrooms, student
reading levels are assessed regularly during the
school year. Consistently these children perform
well above grade level standards - even
some children with learning and attention deficit
disabilities.
For example, a recent test group of 188 four-year-olds
began with Frontline Phonics at the beginning of
the school year in September. By December every
child was successfully reading at a second grade
level. This kind of success has been repeated year
after year in classrooms and in homes nationwide.
Our methods have been validated by studies published
in recent years. For example, studies sponsored
by the National Institute of Child Health & Human
Development (NICHD) have stressed that phonics learning
is an essential element of beginning reading programs.
NICHD reports have cited research showing that when
phonics is taught in a balanced program, children
build a secure foundation for reading comprehension
and lifelong enjoyment of literature.
